Another rumour has surfaced regarding the controller for Nintendo’s new home console, its official reveal still being saved for the company’s E3 Media Presentation on June 7th.
A source has apparently confirmed some of the details currently surrounding the controller to Develop, revealing that it is due to support a front-facing camera system.
Whilst Nintendo is trying to keep the technology under a veil of secrecy, only showing it to select developmental partners to curb leaks, the insider claims that the inclusion of the front-facing camera will be used for in-game images.
Further to this, rumours that have already circulated regarding the six-inch touch-screen, stylus and standard button layout are supposedly all true.
“The functions are the same,” according to the anonymous source. “It is a standard wireless controller added with a front-facing camera and touch screen. That sounds far too much like a 3DS to me. But I can’t confirm this, Nintendo is being very cautious about the details.”
As with all rumours, take this with a pinch of salt. If it does feature a touch-screen, camera and stylus, doesn’t it seem to be entering Nintendo DS/ 3DS territory?
