It would appear that Capcom and LEVEL-5 crossover Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright may indeed be set for a western release.
Whilst not yet officially confirmed by either company, an English press release that was issued at Tokyo Game Show stated that “English names are to be determined.” Such speculation was further strengthened by an apparent English title, “Professor Layton Vs. Ace Attorney”, the latter of which being how the Phoenix Wright series was predominantly known over here.
Such information can only indicate the possibility that the game is set to be localised, but we’ll keep you posted of confirmation if/when it happens!
