Rumour: Nintendo to introduce cartridge for 3DS to Wii U connectivity

Nintendo are currently developing a cartridge that will enhance connectivity between the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, French website Nintendo-Master report.

Whilst we’ve known their intentions for such functionality regarding the next Super Smash Bros. entry, these are the first rumblings of how they are setting out to achieve it.

Citing a well-known games editor as their source, such cartridges will enable the Wii U to wirelessly transmit its signal to the Nintendo 3DS, in a similar method to that already achieved with the Wii U GamePad.

There’s a firm rumour stamp stuck on this though, but it was too interesting not to share.
