Worries around Nintendo Switch‘s battery life have threatened to dampen the excitement that has surrounded the home gaming system.

Those concerns have now been eased somewhat, after Let’s Play Video Games report that the Nintendo Switch Console can be charged with a USB-C cable.

That’s according to two separate sources that have been cited: one at Nintendo; and another that was close to the production for the preview trailer.

Those sources have confirmed that the hardware model that was shown in the trailer had a USB-C port positioned at the Nintendo Switch Console’s base. This will allow the Console to be charged with a USB-C cable when it is being used away from the Nintendo Switch Dock, alleviating concerns by opening up the chance to use a portable battery pack or USB port as a power source.

However, the port’s position means that players will be unable to charge it while the Console’s kickstand is in use.

Nintendo Switch will release worldwide in March 2017.
