The first significant firmware update for the Nintendo 3DS, due to release in late May, has seemingly been detailed within a report by Famitsu (translated by The Magic Box).

The listed additions include the anticipated arrival of the eShop and the first wave of downloadable content due to be available through it, although there is a significant absence regarding the web browser that was due to be added within the same firmware update. The Nintendo DSiWare transfer, however, is set to be included.

The firmware, although we expect the European and North American updates to differ, is said to include the following:

* Nintendo eShop
* 3DSWare – Rockman Dash 3 Prologue (200 yen), Petitcom (800 yen)
* DSiWare – import DSi Ware from DSi to 3DS
* 3D Classic – classic titles in 3D, Excitebike, Legend of Zelda and Xevious will be available
* Virtual Console GameBoy – Ikari no Yousai, Phantasm
* Virtual Console Game Gear – Sonic & Tails 2, Sonic Drift 2, Dragon Crystal, Columns
* Virtual Console GameBoy Color – Super Mario Land, The Legend of Zelda DX (Demo)
* Virtual Console PC Engine – games TBA
* Demos – 3D Video Player, 3D Game Trailer/Previews Channel, Fuji TV and Nippon TV Previews
