Update: Der Standard have amended their report, removing the Wii U comment. I guess we’ll now just have to wait until Electronic Arts confirm their software line-up for the console, presumably at E3.
Original Story: Whilst Electronic Arts expressed that they will be extensively supporting the Wii U, we’ve since learned little regarding the fruition of such a statement.
However it has emerged this week, alongside the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, that the recently unveiled Medal of Honor: Warfighter may be headed to the platform, according to reports from Austrian national newspaper Der Standard.
Further to this, they state that the Wii U version will release alongside those for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 23rd, perhaps providing a hint as to when Nintendo’s new home console will launch.
Whether this is an innocent mistake obviously remains unclear, but we’ll be sure to reach EA for comment.
