Within the latest pages of GamesMaster UK, a rumour has emerged that Square Enix are planning something special for their Final Fantasy series to mark its 25th anniversary next year.
Whilst that won’t necessarily be a surprise, the rumour pertains to Final Fantasy XV being set for a reveal at E3 2012 during a special Square Enix press conference. Of more significant note is that it may be released for both Wii U and PC, as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Earlier in the year Final Fantasy XIII/XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase expressed interest in bringing the series to Wii U, and, if true, it would be the first time that a core entry has released for a Nintendo home console in over a decade.
