It sure sounds like Activision has plans to release the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on Nintendo Switch this year, after the roaring success that the marsupial was met with on PlayStation 4.

That rumour swirls from merchandise manufacturer GB eye, who have been producing posters, badges, prints, mugs, and more based on the character for retailers to stock.

“The new game was a huge success at retail with no marketing spend,” GB eye licensing manager Max Arguile explained to Licensing Source Book Europe, after identifying Crash Bandicoot as what he was most excited for in 2018.

“Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be another game in 2019. Activision have a five year plan for this and GB eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.”

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a remastered collection of the first three games in the Crash Bandicoot series: Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped. It has sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide on PlayStation 4, so it’s clear to see why Activision will want to capitalise on that interest.
