“Roy seals the deal!” After emerging from a regrettable leak, today’s Super Smash Bros. special presentation began with Masahiro Sakurai revealing that Fire Emblem’s Roy has returned to the mascot brawler’s character roster.

Roy last appeared as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Melee, with his sword recognised as being far stronger than Marth’s. That makes him perfect for those that prefer to keep their opponents close, especially with Sakurai sharing that he’s much more powerful than he was in the GameCube iteration.

His character design has been modernised, and he has been treated to his own Final Smash where, once activated, he will deliver “a devastating sword blow in a move straight out of Fire Emblem.”

Roy is available today priced at £3.59 (€3.99) on either Wii U or Nintendo 3DS, or with both versions bundled together at £4.49 (€4.99).
