Serenity Forge and Arbitrary Metric have revealed that Roman Sands RE:Build will release on Nintendo Switch, news that was shared as part of the week-long Inside the House of Indies holiday event.
Pitched as “a new, genre-defying first-person narrative adventure,” the game promises to take you “on an existential, philosophical journey requiring the suspension of human reason and our need for logic, process and connection.”
With an apocalypse as its backdrop, you will be challenged to navigate an unwavering caste system in an effort to discover connection and meaning amid an ecological disaster – the experience throwing you into two games “across a variety of genres encompassing three acts of one overarching narrative.”
In looking to deliver unique sensory journeys, questions will be asked and “intrinsically troubling answers” will soon reveal the truth behind human reality – peeling back the mysteries of the psyche to discover what is real, what is not and what it means.
The “mind-boggling experience” will explore gameplay elements from adventure, gacha, horror, simulation, puzzle and visual novels, requiring you to master multiple genres to solve the game’s mysteries.
Roman Sands RE:Build will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2023.
