Versus Evil, Room-C Games and Croteam have announced that their turn-based roguelite RPG The Hand of Merlin is coming soon to Nintendo Switch.

Written by Jonas Kyratzes (The Talos Principle, Serious Sam 4) and Verena Kyratzes (The Lands of Dream, Serious Sam 4), you will recruit three mortal heroes who must set out on a desperate journey from Albion to Jerusalem – exploring Medieval lands on the brink of the apocalypse after they were assaulted by an otherworldly evil.

Resulting in an experience where “Arthurian legend clashes with dark sci-fi horror,” the choices that you make are permanent and can impact your party’s synergy and combat prowess.

Placing a large focus on exploration and encounters, your adventure will see you explore a multiverse – leaping from one parallel dimension to the next. Each world you save is saved forever, but that also means that any world that you lose is lost for all eternity and becomes consumed in darkness. You will need to consider the consequences of your actions, as your human form has its limits.

“We’re excited to be able to announce that The Hand of Merlin will be a multi-platform release that includes console and PC, merging a heavy dose of dark Sci-fi into traditional Arthurian legend gave us the creative freedom to bring something refreshingly different to the turn-based and squad-based RPG genre,” enthuses Room-C Games creative director Robert Sajko.

The Hand of Merlin will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 14th June 2022.
