Ultimate Games and Wildlands Interactive have announced that Riot Control Simulator is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.

Corpix Games is the developer behind the game, who want to emphasise that it “is purely fictional and does not reference any real-world political or social events.”

You will step into the role of a law enforcement officer who is tasked with managing protests in city streets. In the game’s story mode, you will attempt to maintain order in a country sliding toward authoritarianism.

With the developer hoping to present the reality of protests through the lens of police and state services, each mission will challenge you to control angry crowds, with gameplay encompassing combat, arrests, ID checks, searches and issuing orders.

There will also be a moral choice system that “plays a key role,” different tools and strategies at your disposal, and the choice between going in with full force or choosing to handle protests more humanely.

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

  • restoring order on city streets;
  • intriguing story-driven campaign;
  • moral choice system;
  • a variety of riot control tools and tactics;
  • formations and strategy.

Riot Control Simulator will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in 2026.
