It has emerged that RiME will release on Nintendo Switch, after Brazil’s Ministry of Justice issued a rating for the single-player puzzle adventure game.
Once destined to become a PlayStation 4 exclusive, developer Tequila Works reacquired the rights to the game earlier this year which now looks set for release across multiple platforms – PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
“Tequila Works announces today that it has chosen to reacquire the rights to its open world adventure game, Rime, and is working hard to realise its aspirations for it,” the developer had shared in a statement at the time.
RiME traces the journey of a young boy that is shipwrecked on a mysterious island after enduring a torrential storm. The player is challenges to user their wits to decipher puzzles and uncover secrets in the expansive world around them, filled with wild creatures and the crumbling ruins of a long-forgotten civilization.
Nintendo Switch will release worldwide in March 2017, with RiME being readied for release later that year..
