Letting you experience “the harmonious combination of story and song,” it continues on from Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure with Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess and Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom each receiving an official western localisation for the first time.
In Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess, young Kururu follows in the footsteps of her moth Cornet and sets out on a journey to discover her own prince. It comes complete with more songs, a new turn-based battle system and a story that is “both new yet familiar.”
Whereas with Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom, you can expect a series of chapters that conclude the stories of Rhapsody and its characters. You will experience events that happen before, during and after the previous Rhapsody games, including a “heartfelt conclusion” about Cornet’s mother, Cherie.
The developer has looked to revamp and refind the battle system, which “shines” with combined character attacks and a new 3D camera that has been added.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:
- A Delightful Debut: Rhapsody II & III take centre stage as they make their western debut featuring musical adventures in Marl Kingdom!
- A Marvelous Makeover: The charming storybook visuals are looking better than ever, and feature a new 3D camera mode for Rhapsody III!
- A Story Told Through Song: A heart-warming story brought to life through alluring songs and vocal performances!
Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2023.
