Retro Studios hire former Naughty Dog environment artist

It has emerged that Retro Studios has hired former Naughty Dog environment artist Eric Kozlowsky back in July 2011.

Kozlowsky previously worked on environment modelling, levels and cinematics for PlayStation 3 blockbuster Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and the Internet was alight when he teased that he was “super excited” to be working on his latest project. “I can’t talk about it too much but if all goes well it might just be one of my crowning achievements as an artist”, he added.

However, Kozlowsky has since taken to Twitter to explain that such comments were in regards to “potentially illustrating my brother’s next novel.” Regardless, his portfolio of work, especially on Uncharted 3, is incredible – you can catch examples below.

Retro Studios have also made a number of other signings including Gray Ginther, Senior Character Artist from Vigil Games, Nestor Hernandez, Designer from Red Fly Studio, and Dominic Pallotta, an Animator from Moonbot Studios.
