Chorus Worldwide and Toge Productions have announced that Coffee Talk will release on Nintendo Switch, a coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator.

It’s set in an alternate-Seattle where elves, orcs, mermaids, and other fantasy races live together with humans.

Created with ’90s anime-inspired pixel art that’s accompanied with jazzy and lo-fi music, your role is to listen to people’s problems and help them by serving a warm drink from the ingredients that you have in stock.

The developer promises “an experience to make you think, feel, and rest both your body and your soul,” as you see how the drinks that you serve impact how your customers’ stories unfold.

“This game plays like the warm drinks served within it: warm, mellow, and comforting,” explains Chorus Worldwide founder Shintaro Kanaoya. “It’s rewarding to listen to the stories of the varied clientele and offering them up their favourite drinks when asked (and you feel bad when you get their order wrong).

“Just as the coffee shop in the game is a peaceful place for its customers to rest and unwind, Toge Productions have masterfully created a little oasis of a game for players of all ages to take a breath and relax.”

Toge Productions founder Kris Antoni adds: “After a stressful day, we just want to play something relaxing that’s not stressful or violent, sadly there aren’t many of them. So, we decided to make one where people can chill, relax, and craft latte-art.”

Coffee Talk will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30th January 2020.
