Nintendo of Europe have today confirmed that Resident Evil: Revelations will release across the region on January 27th 2012.

Such news was accompanied by an announcement regarding a distribution agreement with Capcom, in which the company will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the game throughout European territories and Australia. Capcom will still remain as the publisher.

Resident Evil: Revelations is set in 2005 and takes place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

The all-new narrative builds tension and a continual fear of the unknown, as players follow a storyline that includes series favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Valentine alongside their new Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) partners Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat.

Each team must investigate different angles of the bioterrorism threat in Europe at the same time as working out how their bioterrorist enemies are able to stay one step ahead of them. You’ll find yourself exploring a variety of mountain and coastal locations, and with unknown horrors hiding around every corner players will need nerves of steel to search claustrophobic rooms and caves.

Resident Evil: Revelations launches exclusively for Nintendo 3DS across Europe on January 27th 2012.
