Resident Evil: Revelations is to feature two-player local and online co-op, alongside supporting the Nintendo 3DS’ StreetPass functionality.
Such confirmation was made on Capcom’s Japanese website for Resident Evil: Revelations, translated by a NeoGAF member, which has stated the number of players as being “1, 2 for Wireless Play”, and that the game supports “Local Play, Internet Play, StreetPass and Slidepad.”
Such information conflicts with a statement by Resident Evil: Revelations producer Masachika Kawata, who commented earlier in the year: “You can see the game is very focused on that horror atmosphere, so it’s not made for co-op play. We’re focusing on the single-player this time.”
I guess we’ll have to await further clarification regarding the western release!
Resident Evil: Revelations is due to release across Europe on January 27th, and North America on February 7th.
