After explaining that Mr. Resetti was “looking for a new job” because he was laid off from his position at the Reset Surveillance Center, the once angry mole will soon make a return in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a Groundhog Day seasonal item.
Once responsible for ranting at players if they ever powered off their console, quit or reset previous Animal Crossing games without saving their progress, Mr. Resetti no longer needed to perform such a role on Nintendo Switch thanks to the game’s new auto-save function.
That means that he is still on the hunt for a new job, but, aware that players may be missing the grouchy character, you will soon be able to decorate your home with an in-game model to help remind you of more grumpy times.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mr. Resetti was not happy that he was “thought of as an item” in response to becoming an Assist Trophy in the mascot brawler, so we’re not sure how he’ll feel about it this time…
