Renegade Kid’s Kickstarter campaign to secure financial backing to develop Cult County, a successor to Dementium, unfortunately fell short of its lofty $580,000 target.
Whilst that will understandably come as a disappointment to the indie developer, co-founder and director Jools Watsham has indicated that they have already begun plans to work on an “experimental 2D game for 3DS.”
They have seen much success on the handheld, delivering games such as Mutant Mudds, Planet Crashers, and ATV: Wild Ride 3D, with Moon Chronicles set to arrive later this year.
“As part of our healing process after the KS failure, we’re developing a new experimental 2D game for 3DS,” Watsham shared on Twitter. “It has pixels and stuff. No cults.”
