Ubisoft has shared a gameplay trailer for Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, which is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.

Now enhanced with 4K visuals, new collectibles and rewards, and quality-of-life improvements, the iconic 2D platforming adventure is included exclusively with every edition of Rayman Legends Retold.

Whether playing solo or in seamless couch co-op for up to four players, you must dash through more than 60 handcrafted levels filled with charm, secrets, and unforgettable challenges.

“The Glade of Dreams is up in arms again! This idyllic world, where there is usually little more to do than eat, sleep, play (and enjoy a friendly fray or two among friends), is up to its eyeballs in trouble,” the publisher writes in outlining the game’s premise.

“It seems Rayman and his heroic gang of hilarious misfits have kicked off a war with just a little snoring! Their nightmarish neighbours from the Land of the Livid Dead don’t seem to share the same taste in music and have come to crash the party!

“Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Rayman and his friends are more than happy to knock these nasty killjoys back to oblivion, especially since it involves saving nymphs, making mischief and earning fantastic new powers to make even more mischief. And this won’t be the first time!

“As it turns out, the fun-loving Creator of the Glade, known as Bubble Dreamer, is a highly sensitive being whose every mood impacts the Glade for good or bad… Rayman has had to beat back the creatures of Bubble Dreamer’s nightmares before, and that’s what he, Globox and the crafty Teensy casters are going to do again before the fabric of the Glade falls to pieces and their entire world fades like a bad dream.”

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

  • Improved visuals:
    • 4K textures – original textures have been improved to offer a definition aligned with modern expectations.
  • New Collectibles:
    • Relics – Originally available in the PS Vita version, relics are the hardest to find collectibles hidden across every level.
    • Mosaic Gallery – Also returning from the PS Vita version, relics can be used to unlock origin videos for Rayman and Globox in the Mosaic Gallery.
    • Additional Skins – 18 new skins will be added to the game, bringing the total skins available to 34.
    • New Standees – The original game only had 1 standee; we’ve added 50 more for you to enjoy! There will be a different standee for every level you complete, and they also go over the lore, characters, memorable events and funny interactions from Rayman’s adventures!
    • Updated Achievements List – a total of 39 achievements across all platforms, with 10 new Ubisoft Connect achievements.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Skip Cutscenes and Speed Up Level-ending
    • Toggle Running – switch the run button to a toggle!
    • Controls Remapping – now all players can remap their controls via the Controls Menu!
    • Vibration and Haptics – vary depending on the character you play!
  • Accessibility:
    • Murphy’s Assist – Murphy is now available at the start of previously-completed levels. You can choose to let him accompany you and he’ll point out any remaining hidden treasures and collectibles with a sound cue to help you out!
    • Gold and Diamond Hearts – Replace the Red Heart with a Gold or Diamond one, which protect you from 2 and infinite hits, respectively.
    • Fairy Blessing – Feeling stuck? Can’t get past a tricky area? Activate the Fairy Blessing in Options to become nearly invincible, gain free flight and damage enemies as you move through them.
  • Expanded Snoring Tree:
    • Concept Gallery – Unlock 70+ concepts from Rayman Origins by collecting Lum Medals! Concepts are viewable in a playable gallery level.
    • Standee Viewer – With now 51 Standees to take pictures in, there is now a dedicated area for you to browse all the ones you’ve unlocked and take pictures with them.

Rayman Legends Retold will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 1 October 2026.
