Rayman creator “excited” for Wii U

Rayman creator Michel Ancel has revealed that he is “excited about the Wii U”, and anticipates that E3 2012 will provide “a good opportunity to see how it all comes together”.

Having been questioned as to his thoughts regarding the concept of the Wii U during an interview with Glitch, Ancel replied: “I’m excited about the Wii U! They have some great new features with touchpad and the NFC capabilities that can be very interesting for gameplay – for example, the combination of using the pad and the controllers at the same time”.

He closed, “I think E3 will be a good opportunity to see how it all comes together”.

Rayman Origins is available now on Wii, with a Nintendo 3DS version due to launch across Europe on March 30th.
