Numskull Games and Red Phantom Games have revealed that Gearshifters is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This high-intensity top-down vehicle combat game comes from Richard Ogden – the mind behind Colin McRae Rally 2.0 and TOCA Championship Racing – and has looked to combine classic shoot-em-up retro arcade gameplay with rogue-like elements.
The civilised world is no more and the roads between collapsed settlements are now ruled by opposing syndicates of gangs. Though treacherous, drivers must still use the routes to transport commodities and high-value items for the right price.
Needing to survive this dystopian future reality, you must dodge bullets, perform handbrake turns, drift, spin, smash and shoot your way to victory against waves of enemy vehicles and extreme-machine bosses.
Gearshifters will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2021.
