NIS America and Granzella have announced that an R-Type Final 2 demo is out now on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
The legendary side-scroller is promised to return “better than ever with beautifully rendered 3D graphics, exhilarating shoot-’em-up gameplay, and a multitude of stages, ships, and weapons that will allow you to conduct a symphony of destruction upon your foes.”
With your own fleet of R-Type fighters, you will be challenged to mow down hordes of Bydo with new and classic wave cannons, force units, bit devices, and devastating delta weapons. New enemies will spawn from the wreckage of fallen foes, while stages will become corrupted and altered by the sentient Bydo corruption.
The performance-based difficulty system will adjust to each player’s individual experience, while you will have the chance to customise your ship from its colour, weapon type and decals.
R-Type Final 2 will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in North America, Europe and Oceania on 30th April 2021.
