MLB Advanced Media has announced that R.B.I. Baseball 18 will release on Nintendo Switch, their latest take on the bat-and-ball game having now been worked on by an in-house development team.

That decision came after R.B.I. Baseball 17 was met with widespread disappointment – the game currently sat with a 38 Metascore on reviews aggregator, Metacritic.

The developer will most certainly be looking to improve on that with R.B.I. Baseball 18, which has an all-new Franchise Mode, Home Run Derby Mode, more than 100 historic MLB legends, redesigned player models, hundreds of new animations, enhanced ballparks, and the ability to import rosters into an in-progress franchise.

That continues with enhanced lighting, textures, a revamped 3D crowd system, and new dynamic camera angles in all 30 MLB parks, and players will, of course, have the chance to challenge their friends or take on the CPU.

R.B.I. Baseball 18 will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in March 2018.
