Arc System Works and Unite Plus have confirmed a release date for Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, which is in development for Nintendo Switch.
Pitched as a “tactical counter-timeline RPG,” the game is set against the backdrop of a distorted Shibuya where supernatural anomalies have begun to bleed into reality.
“The story takes place in a monster-infested Tokyo, where supernatural phenomena and mysterious entities wreak havoc,” the publisher writes in setting up the game’s premise in a press release.
“Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow follows Soma Hoshigami, a young delivery driver who is attacked by a supernatural creature and transformed into a hybrid being—half human, half monster. He is subsequently taken in as a ‘lost property’ case by Rena Hizuki, an investigator with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Public Anomalies Division.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
