SEGA has shared a trailer for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S, released to coincide with digital pre-orders opening for the game on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2.
This “ultimate puzzle match” once again sees Japan’s beloved puzzle series Puyo Puyo collide with the world-renowned Tetris series to deliver Puyo-popping and Tetrimino-clearing fun.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- An absolutely packed roster of 40 playable characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, each with their own unique stats and abilities you can carry with you into the robust, RPG-inspired Skill Battle mode.
- A brand-new “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode: Compete in 2v2 battles with pairs using a single board to pull off devastating combos.
- Travel through dimensions in the extensive Adventure mode, or compete with friends and family in a bounty of competitive local and online modes featuring support for up to 4 players.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 5 June 2025.
