SEGA has announced that the “ultimate puzzle match” Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S will launch alongside Nintendo Switch 2.
This once again sees Japan’s beloved puzzle series Puyo Puyo collide with the world-renowned Tetris series to deliver Puyo-popping and Tetrimino-clearing fun.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- An absolutely packed roster of 40 playable characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, each with their own unique stats and abilities you can carry with you into the robust, RPG-inspired Skill Battle mode.
- A brand-new “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode: Compete in 2v2 battles with pairs using a single board to pull off devastating combos.
- Travel through dimensions in the extensive Adventure mode, or compete with friends and family in a bounty of competitive local and online modes featuring support for up to 4 players.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 5 June 2025.
