Exactly double the amount of publishers have plans to release games on next-generation systems in comparison to Wii U, according to the Games Connection Publisher Survey 2013.

Out of those surveyed, 22 per cent will court the PlayStation 4 and new Xbox, whereas the Wii U is only seeing 11 per cent of publishers interested.

Although current-generation systems themselves fall below this, with only 6 per cent looking to bring games to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

This follows a recent survey of GDC attendees, where only 4.6 per cent of developers confirmed that they currently had Wii U projects in the works.
