Armor Games Studios and Vertical Reach have announced that the “hair-raising” psychological thriller The Tartarus Key is coming to Nintendo Switch next year.
Taking inspiration from classics like Alone In The Dark with “a nod” towards escape-the-room puzzlers,
After Alex Young is startled to wake to find herself locked inside a decaying mansion where she is under constant observation from a network of cameras, she realises that whoever is behind them is the least of her concerns in a house of tricks and shadows.
In what is promised to be “an engrossing, chilling horror experience without the use of jump scares,” you will soon discover that she is not the only one being held captive. An unfamiliar voice lies at the end of a portable radio, and as she investigates who or what lies at the heart of the mansion the stranger things will become…
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring The Tartarus Key to the Nintendo Switch!” enthuses Vertical Reach co-founder Kevin Colegate. “We hope players will enjoy it bundled up from underneath their favourite blanket with the lights down low, or feeling the spooky vibes on the go!”
The Tartarus Key will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2022.
