PQube and KEMCO have announced when psychological horror visual novel Raging Loop will release on Nintendo Switch.

Also known as Rei-Jin-G-Lu-P, the visual novel pays tribute to Japanese folklore. When graduate student Haruaki Fusaishi becomes stranded while on a trip to the mountains after his motorbike breaks down, he looks for help.

He discovered a girl near a river who invites him to Yasumizu. He meets the rest of the villagers at this eerie settlement, but, after hearing an old saying about dead people walking along the river, he feels unsettled.

Suddenly asked to leave immediately, a red mist surrounds the village before he has a chance to. Locked in his room and told not to come out under any circumstances, the next morning two corpses are found. The feast has begun.

He learns that the mountain near the village was once home to five beast guardians, and some villagers have received their blessing and inherited their power:

The Wolves will kill one person every day.
The Snake sees if someone is a wolf or a human.
The Spider can protect one person from getting killed by the wolves.
The Two Monkeys know each other’s identity.
The Crow can tell whether a corpse belonged to a wolf or a human.

Now, no one can leave the Yasumizu until the feast is over. That will see the villagers vote for one person to be hanged each day until the wolves are identified, hoping to save the village from its fate.

Raging Loop will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Europe on October 18th, and in North America on October 22nd.
