Project Zero 2: Wii Edition release date confirmed

Nintendo of Europe have confirmed that Project Zero 2: Wii Edition will release exclusively for Wii on June 29th.

It was previously released for PlayStation 2 in 2003, with a Director’s Cut version arriving a year later for Xbox.

The game sees twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura visiting the spot where they used to play as children, soon to be cleared to make way for the construction of a dam.

Mayu, who walks with a limp due to an accident in her childhood, finds and follows a mysterious red butterfly into the nearby woods. Mio, suddenly concerned for her sister, follows, and they soon arrive at a village shrouded in fog.

Whilst it appears to be abandoned, they soon realise that the tortured souls of the dead roam, eternally reliving the day of a failed ceremony that trapped them in such a state.

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition will release across Europe on June 29th.
