LEVEL-5 held their annual ‘Vision’ event in Japan today, making a number of key announcements regarding titles currently in development.

One of the most intriguing is a game called ‘Layton Brothers: Mystery Room,’ that is to feature crime-scene mystery gameplay. It’ll “put a new spin on the Professor Layton universe” and will star Hershel Layton’s son.

It’s also worth noting that this unique spin-off won’t release on Nintendo platforms, and will instead hit iOS devices. However, there are no current plans to release it in North America or Europe.
