NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have confirmed release dates for Process of Elimination, which is headed to Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
After an infamous serial killer known as the Quartering Duke throws the country into chaos with his heinous acts, the Detective Alliance, composed of its top detectives, gather to uncover and subdue him to bring an end to his more than 100-strong killing spree.
In a series of unforeseen events, an aspiring but unremarkable detective called Wato Hojo stumbles on their operations. He joins the Detective Alliance and their investigation into the Quartering Duke on the mysterious island of Morgue, only to discover that his next target lurks among them.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:
- The Sign of the Fourteen: Team up with 14 different detectives, each with their own unique skills, tools, and personalities. Explore key locations around the island of Morgue and engage in choice-based dialogue to obtain useful evidence for each case.
- A Study in Shadow: Carry out investigations on an interactive map of the crime scene. Use your “Denouement” ability to absorb critical information, predict the future, and gather clues while piecing together the truth of each murder.
- The Island of Fear: As the secret headquarters of the Detectives Alliance, the island of Morgue is host to a number of mystifying and dangerous areas. Explore a variety of vivid locales including a labyrinth, a research facility, and the Alliance’s manor for clues about the Quartering Duke.
Process of Elimination will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in North America on 11th April and across Europe, Australia and New Zealand on 14th April 2023.
