Team17 and Drop Bear Bytes have announced that their “original and narrative-rich, isometric, turn-based role-playing game” Broken Roads is in development for Nintendo Switch.
Set in an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic Western Australia with real-world locations and landmarks serving as a backdrop, there is a “deep and meaningful” morality system – the Moral Compass – that lies at the game’s core and influences quests, dialogue and character development.
The morality system is shaped around four philosophical paths – Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian and Nihilist – that each has its own uniqu traits. You will be asked a series of questions as your journey begins, which will determine your starting point on the compass. Your decisions throughout the game will then shift this even further, impacing future choices, questa and reactions from those that you meet.
Broken Roads will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2022.
