Those that have been left waiting on confirmation that Pokkén Tournament would have a local multiplayer mode will be pleased to hear recent news that has surfaced.

Serebii reports that the official website for the Pokkén Tournament HORI Controller has inadvertently revealed that the Wii U version will include a Local Battle mode.

This will see one player using the Wii U GamePad and accompanying screen to display their battle perspective, while another will use the main TV screen with any compatible controller. It is clarified that players won’t be able to use two Pokkén Tournament HORI Controllers when playing in local multiplayer, so you needn’t purchase more than one.

Pokkén Tournament originally saw release at Japanese arcades, and will launch as a Wii U exclusive in Spring 2016.
