The Pokémon Company has announced that an upcoming Pokkén Tournament DX update will introduce additional content to the Nintendo Switch exclusive Pokémon brawler.

That will add Online Team Battles, a mode that was previously only available to play in local multiplayer. It sees each player pick three Pokémon each before heading into battle to take each other’s teams on.

Next up are Official Groups in the Group Match online battle mode, and, soon after the update rolls out, there will be official Group Matches that will provide players with the chance to receive new special titles.

Then, in Practice Mode’s Free Training a new function will let players record Pokémon movements in battle. This will let you control the opposing Pokémon and record their movements so that players can play them back when training to improve their skills.

And, as always, several other undisclosed adjustments are in development that will improve the gameplay experience.

Pokkén Tournament DX is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
