The Pokémon Company CEO and president Tsunekazu Ishihara has announced that Pokkén Tournament DX will release on Nintendo Switch later this year.

The brawler will include all content from both the Wii U and arcade versions of Pokkén Tournament, while introducing new features that look to deliver the ultimate Pokkén experience.

Pokkén Tournament DX can be played on Nintendo Switch in TV Mode, Handheld Mode, and Tabletop Mode, in which players can share a Joy-Con with a friend to let them get involved.

Decidueye stars as a brand-new fighter, while Litten and Popplio will join in battle as new Support Pokémon. With all characters and Support Pokémon available right from the start, players can enjoy a new Team Battle mode in which they pick three Pokémon and battle it out to be the first to defeat all of their opponent’s Pokémon to win.

When playing online, Group Match mode will let you find similarly skilled players, Daily Challenges will continually test your fighting prowess, and a new replay feature will let you watch and share your best matches with other players online.

Pokkén Tournament DX will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 22nd.
