Pokétouch revealed as an educational tool for Japanese schools

It was last November that Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. jointly filed a trademark in Japan for Pokétouch, and, after much speculation, we can now learn what it was precisely for.

Echoing that seen in Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure, it is an educational tool that is available to be used in Japanese schools that purchase the necessary license.

Accessible as a browser-based service, it will allow children to improve their hand-eye co-ordination, knowledge of the English alphabet, and typing skills through a slate of Pokémon-themed games.

It will support Windows 8, Android and iPad tablets, as well as PCs running Windows 8.
