Pokémon XY: A Fragment of the Heavens to air in Japan

It has been announced that Pocket Monsters XY: Sora no Hahen (Pokémon XY: A Fragment of the Heavens) will air at two Japanese planetariums over summer.

Being projected onto 360-degree panoramic domes, the short, which will tie in to the main Pokémon XY series, can be viewed at the Konica Minolta Planetarium “Tenkū” in Tokyo Skytree Town and Ikebukuro’s Konica Minolta Planetarium “Manten” in Sunshine City between July 19th – September 7th and July 12th – August 31st, respectively.

It will follow Ash and friends as they visit the Pokémon Aerospace eXploration Agency, excited by stories about the wonders of space and the thought of Pokémon who may live in the outer reaches. Team Rocket appear to seize control of the facility, although a sudden threat of space debris emerges in a control system for artificial satellites.
