Predictably Pokémon X and Pokémon Y’s launch has been met with success across the UK, securing both third and fourth positions within the all-format chart compiled by Gfk Chart Track.
However, MCV report that if sales of each version were combined, the Nintendo 3DS exclusives would have comfortably secured the top spot.
More positive news lies in the fact that it has become the handheld’s best-selling game of the year, surpassing the success that Animal Crossing: New Leaf achieved.
