The Pokémon Company International has confirmed a release date for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Mega Evolution – Chaos Rising expansion.
This latest expansion will let you discover Mega Floette ex wreaking havoc as night falls in Lumiose City. You can leverage Mega Greninja ex and other powerful Pokémon, including Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex, to ward off this dangerous threat.
You can also look forward to discovering more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, which will appear “as ultra rare cards that feature silhouettes of their original forms in the artwork.”
The expansion will include five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, five Pokémon ex, 11 illustration rare Pokémon, 18 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, and six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards.
Pre-release tournaments held as part of the Play! Pokémon program will start from 9 May 2026 at participating retailers, and will provide the opportunity to play with the Mega Evolution – Chaos Rising expansion before launch.
The expansion will also be made available digitally through the Pokémon TCG Live app from 21 May 2026. Players can collect and battle with new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and receive in-game bonuses when logging in to the game.
The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Chaos Rising expansion will be released at participating retailers worldwide on 22 May 2026.
