The Pokémon Company International has confirmed that the release date for Pokémon TCG Live has been pushed back into 2022.

“To provide Trainers with a more polished experience, the Pokémon TCG Live mobile soft launch in Canada, and global open beta for desktop, have been shifted to 2022. We’ll have more to share soon on timing for both this testing period and the full launch of Pokémon TCG Live,” the company explained on Twitter.

“Additionally, some of you may have recently received code cards with Pokémon TCG Live branding as part of some Pokémon TCG products. Though Pokémon TCG Live is not available at this time, please know these cards are still redeemable in Pokémon TCG Online.”

Whether playing on smartphones, tablets, PCs or Macs, the upcoming free-to-play app has been designed to be easy for beginners to learn how to play the game, while offering new challenges for existing players so that they can improve and test their skills.

You can continue to build decks and battle other Trainers from around the world, tailoring your experience with customisable avatars and Pokémon TCG accessories, participating in daily quests and more. After it has launched, the game will continue to be updated with new content and features.

Pokémon TCG Live is coming soon to supported iOS and Android devices, as well as PCs and Macs through the official Pokémon website. Those hoping to preview the game before it releases worldwide will be able to participate in the mobile soft launch in Canada and the global open beta for PCs and Macs in 2022.
