The Pokémon Company International has revealed Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG): 30th Celebration, a commemorative expansion to mark the pocket monster brand’s anniversary.
This will be the first-ever Pokémon TCG expansion to receive a “simultaneously coordinated global launch in participating markets,” with additional product releases planned throughout the year.
To include all foil cards and fan-favourite classic cards, each Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration booster pack will contain five foil cards, one foil Basic Energy, and one Pokémon TCG Live code card.
The expansion will also introduce Futuristic Rare as an all-new card rarity, which will showcase “vibrant new visuals illustrated by the renowned Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN.” Each Futuristic rare card will depict Pokémon in striking artwork evocative of hope toward an unknown future.
Every Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration booster pack will also include one of 30 unique foil cards starring Pikachu, which have each been illustrated by a different artist. The other new additional cards “will depict an array of Pokémon during different moments throughout daytime and nighttime.”
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration will be released at participating retailers around the world from 16 September 2026.
