With Pokémon Sun and Moon still months away from release, the Korea Media Rating Board has revealed that a Special Demo Version may tide us over in the meantime.

Game Freak had developed a Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version, which had featured new gameplay away from the main game.

It had released a month before launch and allowed players to encounter Mega Glalie (Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea) or Mega Steelix (Japan) which could be transferred across to the main game. Items such as Poké Balls, Heal Balls, Heart Scales, and a Nugget could also be unlocked by completing the Special Demo Version multiple times.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America, Australia and New Zealand on November 18th, and in Europe on November 23rd.
