Hopefully you are all enjoying your time in the Alola region, but Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon has plenty to keep you busy beyond the main storyline.

Much of that can be found in Festival Plaza, where players can participate in global missions. These are a new feature of the Pokémon Global Link, and are limited-time events where everyone tries to meet the same goal.

The first global mission challenges players to catch as many Pokémon as they can to reach the collective goal, which The Pokémon Company’s lofty goal hopes to see 100 million Pokémon caught by Tuesday 13th December 2016.

If reached, each participant will receive 1,000 Festival Coins as a reward. If not, those that contributed will receive a participation prize of 100 Festival Coins. In order for your efforts to be included in the final count, players must make sure that they use Game Sync before the closing date.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are now available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS worldwide.
