Pokémon Shuffle Mobile announced for iOS and Android devices

Nintendo may be charting their own course toward mobile devices, but today The Pokémon Company International have announced plans to release Pokémon Shuffle Mobile later this year.

Set to release through the iTunes App Store and Google Play, this free-to-start match-three puzzler will task players with lining up the same Pokémon to clear them from the puzzle area. Your challenge is to battle, defeat and catch the wild Pokémon in a limited number of moves.

From the reveal trailer this looks exactly the same as Pokémon Shuffle on Nintendo 3DS, which has been downloaded more than 4.5 million times.

Which we can presume means that TPCi’s motive is purely to cast a wider net in luring players to splash out on the puzzler’s somewhat overbearing microtransactions.
