Nintendo have confirmed that Pokémon Rumble U will see a release through the Nintendo eShop on August 15th.

The Wii U release sees a mishap occur at the Toy Pokémon Shop, where a few Pokémon capsules are swept down a river and find themselves marooned on a strange riverbank. Putting on a brave face, they venture to fumble their way back to the shop whilst bashing enemies along the way.

Every Pokémon that has seen inclusion as far as Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 are awaiting to be discovered – some 649 in total – each with their own moves to master.

With players either jumping in solo or alongside friends, as you travel through locations such as Sparkly Playland, Mysterious Forest, and Blue Sky Park.

As with the Nintendo 3DS entry, defeated Pokémon can be befriended and each have their individual strengths and weaknesses, whereas other surprises and pick-ups will apparently crop up along the way.

Whilst Wii U GamePad implementation sees you set off Touch Bombs when finding yourself faced with many Pokémon in battle.

Surprisingly though, there’s no word as to Nintendo of Europe’s plans for the toy figure sets that have accompanied the game’s release in Japan.

Pokémon Rumble U will release exclusively for Wii U through the Nintendo eShop across Europe on August 15th.
