The Pokémon Company has announced the Zorua’s Hide-and-Sneak Contest event for Pokémon Pokopia on Nintendo Switch 2.
The event will run from Sunday 19 July to Monday 27 July 2026, and to start it, you will need to speak to the Tricky Fox Pokémon in front of any rebuilt Pokémon Center.
You will find that Zorua is more than happy to chat about hide-and-seek contests, through which you can earn special in-game rewards based on your performance, which include a trophy.
Zorua can only visit towns with a rebuilt Pokémon Center, though, so you will need to make sure you have at least one up and running to participate in the event.
You can also meet up in another player’s world or on a Cloud Island to participate in a contest together, with the fastest completion time among all participating players becoming the town or Cloud Island’s best record.
From co-developers Game Freak and Omega Force, Pokémon Pokopia stars a Ditto that takes on a human appearance and builds a new life with other Pokémon.
As Ditto, players can explore and learn moves from the Pokémon they befriend – such as Bulbasaur’s Leafage to grow greenery, or Squirtle’s Water Gun to revive dried-up plants – expanding their capabilities and helping them create an inviting environment to attract a variety of Pokémon.
Players can collect materials, build furniture, grow vegetables, and create homes for Pokémon, allowing them to experience a cosy, slow life with Pokémon – one that they build themselves from the ground up. Over time, players can develop a town of their own and invite other players or Pokémon to visit. Pokémon Pokopia also features a day-night cycle linked to real-world time, changing weather, and in-game locations with their own unique characteristics.
Pokémon Pokopia is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide.
