The Pokémon Company International has opened the publicly accessible Pokopia Gardens, celebrating cosy life simulation game Pokémon Pokopia, which was released for Nintendo Switch 2 last month.

Located in Acton, London, the Pokopia Gardens have sought to recreate the game’s concept of rebuilding the world into a paradise that would encourage Pokémon to return to the area.

Created in collaboration with local organisations and businesses, these spaces will be open to the public for the next six months (until Wednesday 30 September  2026), with the hope that they will encourage people to “come outside, enjoy their surroundings, and indulge in some Pokémon fun.”

Those who visit will discover a curated selection of flora, familiar Pokémon friends seen in the game, “living walls,” and Pokémon-inspired terrariums. Trainers playing Pokémon GO can also find new PokéStops and Gyms at Pokopia Gardens, which will be available for the duration of the event.

“In Pokémon Pokopia, players create a Pokémon paradise which everyone can live in. We wanted to bring some of that same feeling of growth and brightness to real-world communities, creating a space that is full of Pokémon Pokopia’s magic and open to all,” explains The Pokémon Company International senior director of marketing Peter Murphy.
